SurgiTel’s next-generation ErgoDeflection loupes give you precision optics with true ergonomics and a customizable viewing angle.

Current deflection loupes on the market use a prism designed at a 45 or 48-degree deflection angle. For many clinicians, this is too steep and causes them to lean back in a non-ergonomic posture. The deflection angle of SurgiTel’s patent pending ErgoDeflection loupe can be custom-made from a 40 to 55-degree viewing angle depending on the needs of the clinician.

Note: Deflection loupes will increase your working distance. Moving up one step in magnification power for ErgoDeflection loupes is recommended in order to give you the same magnified image size as your straight Galilean or prismatic loupes. This is because postures with straighter necks will increase your working distance. Your working distance with straight ergonomic loupes will be longer than with non-ergonomic loupes and your working distance with ErgoDeflection loupes will be longer than with straight ergonomic loupes.
