Practicing dental hygiene doesn’t have to hurt! Stop the aches and pains commonly associated with clinical dental hygiene and protect your physical health with the use of ergonomic equipment, the implementation of practical ergonomic strategies, and by understanding the role that posture-enhancing exercise plays in reducing workplace pain. Practice chair-slide stretches for use in the daily release of chronically tight muscles in this interactive session!

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

• Identify risk factors for work-related dental hygiene pain.
• Describe practical solutions for an ergonomic workspace.
• Demonstrate chair-slide stretches that can be performed during the workday.
• Integrate ergonomic strategies and equipment to reduce fatigue and prevent injury.
• Understand why posture-correcting exercises prevent injuries.
