The Maryland State Dental Association represents and supports the dental profession in its efforts to provide high quality, ethical oral health care to the public and is the professional association for dentists in the state of Maryland.

With COVID impacting last year’s conference, we are excited and ready for you to see the new Chesapeake Dental Conference at Maryland Live! If you attended last year’s CDC, you had a preview of the beautiful and modern facilities Maryland Live! has to offer as well as a glimpse into the new conference program and format. The General Arrangements Committee has worked hard to prepare this year’s conference and has pulled no stops.

This is the MSDA’s 138th Chesapeake Dental Conference. What an amazing tradition and legacy for our Association. The goals of the conference have not changed much since the first conference – provide a quality, science-based educational program, and couple it with the networking and camaraderie of the profession and seeing old and meeting new friends. One thing that has expanded over the years is the programming offered for the full dental team. The 2022 conference continues to build on that!

With Maryland Live!’s central location, the committee has strived to create an experience that addresses what we have heard our members say. A venue in a day’s travel that reduces out of office time, lodging expenses, and offers something for everyone on the team. The General Arrangements Committee has put together one of the most diverse and expansive schedule of CE courses. You can continue to trust that the CDC will provide the quality and relevancy you expect in your scientific/clinical and practice management courses. You will also find new social events capturing the best the venue has to offer.

While we hope you maximize your CDC experience, we also hope you will take time to enjoy and experience the attractions and amenities Maryland Live! and Arundel Mills have to offer; from the casino and spa (COVID permitting) to the shopping, food, and other attractions, there truly is something for everyone!

The MSDA’s House of Delegates will also be meeting this weekend in conjunction with the conference. Elected representatives from every component will be meeting to discuss and determine the future direction of our Association. From passing our annual budget, to developing new legislative priorities, to confirming the relationships and partnerships with our for-profit and charitable affiliates the House will be voting on resolutions that determine the Association’s and profession’s future direction.

To close, thank you to the General Arrangements Committee and MSDA Staff for going above and beyond, like usual, to prepare this first-class conference. Finally, a special thank you, to you, our members, for your support and confidence and attendance at this year’s Chesapeake Dental Conference. We hope the CDC is all you expect, and more.
